Is Purple Bruise Marks From Being Hit Disappearing Soon Normal?

Hi. I got hit with a couple of hockey balls and got two bruises on my right leg today. They were sizable and purple and were definitely there as 3 other people make remarks about how sore they looked, but within 10 minutes I looked down again and they had disappeared only leaving slightly pink patches. Now the pink has also gone. I am an active female 17 year old female, and wondering why they have disappeared.
