Is Surgery Necessary In Case Of Adenoids?

my son is 4 yrs old, he has mild adenoid issues, my doctor advised us after 10 yrs of age it may shrink, or we will wait for another 2 years. now, my question is, Is there any chance to shrink after 10 years of age?. can i wait for another 2 years of time by keep monitering frequently? or i should go for the surgery immediately?. what is the precautions i should take to keep this under control. he has breathing trouble sometimes during night.

The lymphoid growth is maximum upto 12 years of age and latter the growth subsides.
Hence we advise them to wait upto that age.
