Is Swelling Of Ankles A Side Effect Of Prolomet?

Hello, I am 33yr old and taking prolomet am 25 twice a day...... i BP since March 2014... but recently i realise little swelling in my ankles and regular headach... eventhough the BP is normal ... can you pls advise if it is a side effect of this tablet

Hello,
PROLOMET AM contains metoprolol and AMLODIPINE.
AMLODIPINE is a calcium channel blocker and causes ankle swellings.
Headache could be due to metoprolol or some other reason which should be investigated.
You can consult your doctor and discuss about it with him regarding changing the medicine.In case headache persists even after change of medicine ,then the cause is something else which would require probing.
