Is The Test For For HIV Reliable Enough?

On my 3 trimester labs my routine labs came back HIV reactive, I had a hiv1 hiv2 test done and they all came back negative. The doctor ordered some more tests Hiv RNA QTMA as confirmatory.... my question is why more test isn t the second reliable enough?

Ya if once you have reactive result and second time nonreactive then you must go for further testing. Go for confirmatory test like pcr or p24.
