Is There A Possibility Of Transmitting The HIV?

Hi, Few weeks back I have gone a surgery for Piles and I am attending for Dressing regularly. Last week when the doctor is doing dressing, I hear that the doctor and helper talking about HIV patient. I am just worried from then on the posibility of transmitting the disease. During dressing they will keep some ointment and Cotton inside the anus using some needle king of thing. I am really worried about this. Please let me know what is the possibility and how can I know.

Hi
Usually in good hospitals they will practice strict aseptic precautions to avoid cross infection ( from one person to other)
So I think there is nothing to worry if you are receiving treatment from a good hospital

Thank you
