Is There Any Additional Treatment Other Than Antibiotics For Diverticulitis?
i was diagnosed with gastric cancer in September, and have undergone 4 rounds of chemo. Earlier in the week I experienced bloody stools which I told my oncologist about today at my doctor s appointment. She said it was diverticulitis and started me on a 7 day antibiotic treatment . What can I do to improve in addition to the antibiotic plan of treatment?
Diverticulitis is commonly a result of constipation. you should try your best to avoid constipation so that you can avoid these flare ups.
eat balanced diet with high fiber and take laxatives to maintain regular bowel movements. Please drink plenty of water which will help with the constipation.
Good luck
