Is There Any Medication For Regularising The Periods With History Of Having PCOS?

I Doc,

I haven't had a period in god knows how many months, I would like to conceive sooner rather then later but have to figure out my cycle first, I have a Basal Body thermometer and an ovulation predictor kit which I want to start using, but iv read the best time to start is the start of the period, im too impatient to wait for my period, I have PCOS so that makes things a little more difficult.

Is there some form of medication I can use to regulate my period? or anything else I can do?
I am working on weight loss at the moment aswell I aslo read that losing weight will help with a regular period.
Thanks

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. Yes definitely losing weight for an overweight patient helps to regularize the periods. You need evaluation to know the endometrial thickness by scan. You need progesterone medication for withdrawal bleeding once pregnancy is ruled out.
Please ask if you have more questions. If you are satisfied, please make sure that your ACCEPT my answer so that I receive credit. Good luck!!
