Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Betaine citrate is almost safe drug and there is not much side effects.
Some patients may get nausea and vomitting otherwise no long term problems with this drugs.
You should not self medicate, rather you should take any treatment only under the supervision of a local physician.
The levels of your enzymes must be seen in conjuction with a good clinical evaluation by a local physician and then treatment should be decided.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.
