Is Umbilical Hernia Causing Constipation And Burning Pain?
i have an umbilical hernia that hasnt bothered me in the past but recently i have been unable to have a bowel movement in 8 days. i also have burning pain in that area . I have tried a laxative which didnt work and apple juice and coffee along with oatmeal everyday. I feel weak and have a contant ache in my belly and back.

If termination of bowels into herniated sac may lead to complications like obstruction or vascular compromise to lead to gangrene formation. So mechanical obstruction may lead to constipation. Please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
