Itching And Soreness Around Testicles For Months. Treatment?

Hello. my husband has itching and soreness around his testicles and anus. There does not appear to be redness or a rash but it is very uncomfortable. OTC remedies have been tried and have not helped significantly it always seems to come back and never completely cures. This has been going on for months and is very frustrating.

Hello!

Such long lasting itching is usually caused by fungal infection. This area is a specific one as it is almost all the time covered by an underwear. This causes moisture environment which is favor one for fungi. Such infection can give only rough skin or hard skin and rash does not appear every time.

I suggest your husband to visit dermatologist with his issue. He should also wash this area regularly and have it clean and dry.
