Itching In Thigh Folding And Under Scrotum, White Spots, Bad Smell. Fungal Infection Or STD?
Hello Doctor..
I have been having itching in my thigh foldings and under my scrotum.When i checked it today using a mirror, i found white spots under my scrotum and around itching area.And it gives a bad smell as well.Kindly advice whether it is a normal fungal infection because of excessive sweating or some serious skin disorder or something related to STD.

The areas in the folds of the skin such as armpits, thigh folds, , under the scrotum and under the breast in women are often associated with fungal rashes. These rashes would also cause the itching that you are presenting with.
These areas of the skin are hotter and more moist than other aspects and this predisposes them to fungal rash.
Treatment involves (1) keeping the areas as dry as possible- this may involve using cool clothing, powders
(2) apply antifungal cream or powder to the area to treat the fungus
(3) in the early stages you may want to use a mild steroid cream which would decrease the inflammation and help with the itching, this can be used for about 3 days then you would continue with the anti fungal alone.
