Itching, Swelling, Lump Underneath Skin After Taking Flu Shot

I got a flu shot yesterday, at my MD's office, about two minutes after it , it started itching like crazy and swelling, today it hurts and there is a hard lump with just a little bit of warmth under the skin, I got one last year, at a Meijer store, and had no problems, the nurse at the MD's office said the needle was a new kind a very short needle that did not go into the muscle. Thank you
