Itchy Rashes With Cluster Of Bumps On Abdomen, Pubic Reappeared 1.5 Weeks After Scabies Treatment.Any Ideas?
I have a very itchy rash with a cluster of small bumps on my wrists, abdomen, pubic area, and inner thighs. I was treated for scabies about a week and a half ago and the rashes went away, but then came back viciously. I don't know if I was misdiagnosed or if the scabies didn't fully heal. I was prescribed methylprednisolone tablets and permethrin cream 5%, should just get the Dr to prescribe more of the Scabies medicine?
I think you got the relapse of scabies. You take ivermectol 12 mg once a week. And take antihistaminic like levocetirizine 5 mg twice a day till itch is relieved. If there is secondary infection, take antibiotic in proper dose. Apply permethrin cream at night three days a week. Avoid soap bath, you may use dettol liquid. Wash the clothes in hot water. Your contactants in you family should be treated. Improve physical hygiene and diet should nutritious. You may be improved and relapse may be avoided. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
