Knee Pain When Walking After Fall. X-ray Shows No Broken Bones. Taken Diclofenac And Ibuprofen. Anything Else To Do?
Last week i fell while walking and i went to the hispital as i could feel alot of painin and it hurt in my knee when walking. Xrays showed no broken bonesin knee and was given diclofenac and ibubrofen. After some days of taking this i have discovered that the real pain is from my hip and the my bum. It sometimes hurts so much i scream when i walk but mosly there is a dull ache and pain that radiates from my hip and bum to my leg. Is there anything else i can do rather than taking ibubrofen and diclofenac?
Pain in the hip region and radiating from hip to knee region suggests a nerve involvement rather than a fracture. The burning sensation is associated with inflammation of the nerve supplying the thigh region and the knee region. Consult your orthopedician for clinical examination. There are various tests for nerves which determine the nerve involvement, and its extent. Further investigations will be guided by the clinical examination. If there is involvement of the nerves, its cause will be sought out and management. Nerves can be damaged due to trauma, inflammation of the nerves due to infection, or degenerative disorder.
