Leg Hurt. Swollen With Big Bump And Tightness, Heat. Need To Concern?

Hello, 5 days ago I slipped in the shower. My shin taking the full impact of my weight onto the base of the tile shower cubical. Honestly the pain was so severe the thought I fractured it. I immediately applied ice and elevated my leg. I m able to walk without much pain, however my leg is still very swollen with a big bump , tightness, heat and swelling where my shin took the full impact. ( deep blue purple ) bruising breaking out around 3/4 of my ankle and foot and lower limb . Leg still throbs off and on. Is their need for concern ?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Since there is a big bump with tightness and the area is hot, the chances of infection or a bone injury are present. It is best to get it examined and investigate it for any fractures.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
