Leg Injury, Painful, Hard, Redness, Bruising. Tingling Foot. What Is Wrong?
I feel off a very heavy wooden chair last night and the chair came down on the back of my leg ( calf area). It is very painful, hard as rock, and red with little bruising. It is a little bigger than a golf ball size. The pain is so bad that it kept me up last night and when I walk it hurts. I noticed when getting in shower that my leg that is injured and foot for that matter is swallon compared to my good leg. It is also colder than my other leg. My right foot tingles at times. What is wrong with my leg and why am I getting these symptoms.
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that you have described are likely to be due to a hematoma formation in the area of injury due to an internal bleeding. Avoid weight bearing on the leg and keep it elevated to reduce the swelling.
