Mucus Floating In Stools, Diarrhea, White Colored, ADHD. Taking Methylphenidate. What Am I Losing Weight?

Lately when I poop its got what looks like mucus on the outside or floating on the water. Sometimes its white or orangey/milk chocolate coloured. When I examined it with the toilet brush it looks sticky.
Im going to the toilet upto 6-7 times a day. Normally I go 2-3 times a week and have for years. It started with watery diarrhoea with bad wind that really smells and stomach pain/ sickness feeling. Now its just little amounts that look pale/ really light choc brown and finger length and size followed by stomach pain/ feeling sick.
I suffer from bad adhd and take 60mg methylphenidate fast release.
I dont eat as much and have lost 1.5 stone in weight.

Hi Jay,
Thanks for your query.
You are apparently suffering from either, amoebic, giardia (protozoal) infection; or, a condition called Irritable Bowel Syndrome;
Other possible causes can be Inflammatory bowel disease; polyp or a growth in the colon.
A 10 days' course of anti-protozoal drug, such as metronidazole, tinidazole or secnidazole will cure the infection.
If it is Irritable Bowel Syndrome, you will need a long-term course of appropriate drugs.
I suggest that you undergo Colonoscopy to directly visualize the inside of the colon, which will give valuable information about the diagnosis.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable treatment as advised.
