My husband, who has Parkinson's disease (since 1998) has unexplained dark bruising on side of heel, less dark round his ankle and foot, but there is no tenderness. Should he see a doctor. The email address is YYYY@YYYY . Would be grateful for a reply.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your husband's symptoms.

The bruising is not related to Parkinson's disease. He needs to be seen by a doctor to find out the cause for the same.

It could be due to medications such as aspirin or blood disorders such as low platelet count, etc.

It can be easily treated if the cause is found out.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
