Neck Stiffness, Shooting Pain On Turning Head, Discomfort. Neck Scan Shows Enlarged Lymph Node. History Of Lung Cancer, Neuropathy In Feet. Treatment?

i have lung cancer . I have finished chemo and am now on a maintenance drug, Avastin. I have neuropathy in my feet . I latest concern is a stiff neck . It is painful when I turn my head to the left or right. The pain goes up in my head when I turn my head. It isn t unbearable but it is uncomfortable. Oh and my latest neck scan shows that the lymphnode on my right side is larger than the left side so my doctor will be watching that.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
THE PAIN AND STIFFNESS IN YOUR NECK COULD BE DUE TO THE ENLARGED LYMPH NODES. THE OTHER CAUSES COULD BE A MUSCLE STIFFNESS OR CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS. A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION IS NECESSARY TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
