On AVA30 ED. Having Low Moods. Prone To Anxiety, Depressed, Feel No Motivation. Side Effect Of The Pill?

Hi, I have been on the pill, (AVA30 ED) for the past 4 months and recently I have been experiencing really low moods. I am prone to anxiety anyway but it has become a lot worse and I feel depressed and sad, no motivation etc. Could this be a side-effect of the pill? Is there any particular type of pill that is more suitable for people who are prone to anxiety/depression? Thank you..

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

It is possible to have mood and anxiety symptoms as a side effect of hormonal contraceptive pills.

You should consult your gynecologist for evaluation to have suitable contraceptive to you. Doctor may advise you to use barrior contraceptives or contraceptive devise.

If you are in stress, you should consult psychiatrist for evaluation and management.

I hope It will help you.

Thanks.
