I am 73, 180 pounds 5' 8" and I am an accountant. I ride a bike most days running my two golden retrievers. I have a red rash on my left shin area that spreads and recedes. I tried cortisone prescription from my doctor and it got worse. I have tried hand creams and they do not help. I have tried off the counter antibiotic ointments and they seem to help for a 5 or 6 hours. This problem came up three or four months ago and is worrying me. I have had this problem to a lesser degree in the past and it always seemed to clear itself up with exercise. But not this time.
