Pain And Uncomfortable Feeling In The Arms And Legs. Is The Pain In The Bones? Tingling In The Fingers

For the last couple of weeks I have started to get pain and an uncomfortable sensation in both my arms. It feels like the pain is actually in the bones? It is persistant the whole time and sometimes present in my legs but also often keeps me up at night. I also get tingling in my fingers and numbness in my hands. What could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The sensation of pain & discomfort is mainly due to nerve compression, which can be attributed to:
1. Carpel tunnel syndrome.
2. Inflammation.
3. Incorrect sitting or sleeping posture.
4. Systemic diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension.
5. Deficiency of nutrients like Vitamin B12, Folic acid, Calcium, which help in proper nerve conduction.

So, it will be better to consult your General Physician & get a proper physical examination done.
Investigations like Nerve conduction studies and estimation of BP & blood sugar levels will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.

Wishing you a Good Health.
Thanks & take care.
