Pain Below Belly Button, Difficulty In Urination, Abdominal Pressure. Any Ideas?

Hello,

I was recently in a situation where I had to urinate but could not for an extended period of time. After I was able to relieve myself I noticed a sharp pain below my belly button. It has been a few days and I am experiencing the pain has gotten worse to the point that any abdominal pressure is very painful (elimination to be exact). Any ideas?

It sounds like you could be in the initial stages of an infection, although this is still an assumption and will have to be confirmed only with laboratory investigations. The suspected infections could be:
-Urinary tract infection (UTI)
-Interstitial cystitis (IC)
-Sexually transmitted infections (if you are sexually active)
-Yeast infection

Some individuals who consume lesser fluids than is required can also experience such symptoms. So please increase the intake of fluids and visit a doctor if the pain persists.
