Pain, Burning Sensation In Stomach, Blood With Stools, Diagnosed With Chron's With UC
I ve noticed the water around my stool is bright red like blood is seeping from my stool. I have been diagnosed with crohns with an overlap of uc. For the past month I ve had pain and sometimes a burning sensation in my stomach and also noticed the red around my stool. Is this common for crohns and is this something in which I should go see a doctor? Thanks in advance.
I understand your concern. The blood you see around your stool is connected with your UC overlap. My suggestion is to visit your GP as soon as possible because he will make proper examination or send you to a gastroenterologist to get appropriate medication. Blood in stool means that you have exacerbation of your illnes and that you need acute therapy. The therapy based on corticosteroids and aminosalycilates will help you to relief your symptoms. Until than try to eat smaller meals and avoid food which causes bloating, or any kind of food that you have noticed which make your symptoms worse.
I hope you will visit your doctor as soon as possible and that this answer was helpful to you.
