Pain In Knees, Difficulty In Walking. Started More Walking 3 Months Backs. Any Ideas?

My left knee hurts on the inside so bad when I get up from a sitting position that I can hardly walk. I can't kneel down or squat any more without if being incredibly painful. My right knee is starting to do the same thing. I started walking three times a week back in January. Could that have anything to do with it? Thank you.
