Pain In Left Arm, Numb Feeling And Pricking Pain Between Shoulder And Neck. What Is The Reason?
Hi Doctor,
I am getting up in the night feeling pain on my left arm (full arm) with numb feeling to a certain extent. I can move my arm, but any amount of movement while in sleeping position does not relieve the pain much. If I get up and sit or walk for a while, the pain goes away and I can go back to sleep, for the rest of the night. It is repeating almost every night, these days and am having it for a month now. It used to be once a while, but is becoming every day affair now.
I can turn my neck only about 60 degree to the left or right and beyond that it pains. I get a pin pricking pain between the shoulder and neck on the left side.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having cervical spondilitis giving you all these problems. Due to irritation or pressure on nerves might be giving pain while sleeping and feeling better after you get up. go for x-ray cervical region and find out the cause. Physiotherapy will give you more relief. Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. Ok and take care.
