Pain Under Belly Button After Lifting Heavy Objects. Muscle Tear Without Hernia?

hi ! im a heavy man 400+ lbs ! 10 days ago,i was lifting something heavy and i felt pain right under my belly button ! and then it faded away ! for the next few days started to have a belly button dull pain ! it never increased ! i thought umbilical hernia,but no bulge ! i examin my abdomin few times a day ! once in a while i feal nauseated while driving for a long time ! i drive for a living ! could it be a muscle tear without a hernia ! noticed the pain is less and less ! thank you very much !

Sorry to hear about what you experienced.

All pain under the belly button after lifting weights is not necessarily related to hernia. Like you rightly mentioned, it could also be caused by muscle strain. If it were caused by a muscle tear, the point of weakness would for sure bulge out. All the information provided points to a strain without any tear. Also, regression of pain intensity is a good sign. However, continue to observe and report any developing or aggravating symptoms.

I understand doing sports is very important and more so when our weight is in excess. Congratulations but keep the exercises within acceptable and tolerated range for you else we may have to deal with another condition.
