this pain started yesterday afternoon, i know its not menstrual cramps because i just got off my period a week ago, i have severe pains in my right pelvic area and all in my stomach, it hurts really bad to cough, sneeze or laugh, i have to push down when i do any of those to make the pain stop and it still does not work, when im laying down the pain feels like it gets worse and i can only lay on my back. i am not pregnant and as well do not have insurance.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Ilanchey's Response
since you had pain in the right pelvic area and hurts while increasing your intra-abdominal pressure like coughing and sneezing you may be suffering from impending hernia mostly inguinal in type. so you can test it by putting right over your right inguinal region (right groin) and feel for any swelling coming out while straining by coughing. If you feel any mass or thrust then consult your surgeon. If it is not then consult an orthopedician for any right hip musculoskeletal problems. The sign that your symptoms getting relieved on laying back suggests that something from inside of your stomach only causing your problem.
