Poison Ivy, Face, Forehead, Hands, Arms, Back, Trunk, Itch Is Not Terrible, New Eruptions, Topicals, Benedril. How Long Will New Rashes Continue?

I have a pretty good case of poison ivy. Face, forehead , hands, arms, back, trunk. I came into contact 8 days ago, my itch is not terrible. My face seems to be improving, however, new eruptions are occurring each morning such as my torso. I am only using topicals and benedril. How long can new rashes continue to develop? I am not wanting to use steroids for this otherwise self limiting disorder, any suggestions?

I would be pleased to answer your question .

I suggest you should take a better anti histamine like Allegra 180 mg in the morning and Claritine 5 mg at night . I suggest you to take the treatments for a period for 10 days . this will slowly help in reducing the new rashes from developing .
Thanks and take care . there is no need to take steroids presently , however if you get symptoms like breathing difficulties , lip or eyelid swelling intake of a steroid would be mandatory .
You can visit a Dermatologist if your condition does not improve after 10 days .
