Popping Sound In The Head With Dizziness, Numbness In Hands. Had Concussions In The Past. Should Be Worried?
My 17-year-old daughter felt a pop in her head and then became dizzy. She also felt her arms and hands become numb. I was about to call ambulance but than she felt better. Now, after a half hour, she says her mouth feels numb. She has had many concussions during her career in soccer through high school. The last one was about a year ago. Should I be concerned?
Fast breathing can sometimes cause hypocalcemia in the blood. Blood calcium levels comes down during that period and can cause such numbness...mainly around the mouth. It is self limiting. Dont worry.
