Usually, the warning signs of an impending miscarriage are cramping and bright red bleeding from the vagina that occur at the same time. Pregnancy changes the vaginal pH (acidity) and may lead to the increase discharge that you are experiencing. This can irritate the vagina skin inside and cause spotting. The changes in pH can allow bacteria to overtake the vagina, called bacterial vaginosis, which is important to treat since it may be associated with premature labor later in the pregnancy. Miscarriage is usually not subtle as the cramping and bleeding that occurs may be intense. See your doctor, have an ultrasound performed, and if the pregnancy is healthy, that should help with your concerns.
