Prescribed Prednisone, Ciprofloxacin For Crohn S. Worsening Discomfort In Stomach. What To Do ?
i was just diagnosed with ileitis and partial small bowel obstruction . I guess also know as crohn's. I have been prescribed prednisone,ciprofloxacin,metronidazole,sucralfate. I have been in the hospital for a week on all of these meds.I still have a great deal of discomfort, have been on clear liquid diet for this time , tried eating soft solid food today and now the discomfort is worse should i stay on liquid til Monday when my digestive doctor is in the office. I do not want another hospital visit. I am a 42 yr old white male. I was always at or about 170 lbs , now i am down to 132 pounds.

Hi,make it a liquid diet for 2 times, and semisolid diet 1time, with small quantity of food each time.
for chrons it is advisible to avoid wheat, and barley, to be on safe side also avoid milk and milk products, and watch. Thank you.

Thanks for your query. I would like to advise you following things
• Gradually add soft foods like Custard, Banana, and Yogurt in your food.
• Further you are advised to take milk
• Avoid spicy foods, chilies and also avoid constipation and after this gradually add semisolid foods and finally solid foods in your diet
In this way you would be able to tolerate the food.
