Pulsation In Carotid Artery,muscle Spasms?

Sometimes I get these weird sensations its like the heartbeat in the cartodid artery , but I can actually FEEL the pulsing in other parts of my body. I dont know if it is muscle spasms or what, but it stops after a few minutes usually or if I rub the area.

What is your age? this feeling sometimes occurs if the heart is beeting forcefully at the time of fear flight and stress. this can also be more prominent in some heart ailments like valve problems and hypertension. so what activity causes it? if this felling is persistng and occuring frequently then get yourself checked.
