Reason For Swollen Foot After ACL Repair And Broken Knee Cap?

I have had two surgeries, acl repair and for a broken knee cap. I m wearing a knee brace and a new ankle brace because I also have cerebral palsy and have little ankle control. My foot is swollen much the way one is after a long flight. Is this a serious problem?

Hello,

I have studied your case.

As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion .
If pain persist then you may need to do MRI again to see for any functional defect.

Small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS.

Strengthening exercise after swelling has reduced will help.
If you dont take care of problem it can become serious.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
