Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells Count, Esosinophils, Lymphocytes Range Abnormal. Is It Mumps?
Doctor, My son is 23 yrs old. His Red blood count is 5.59 (range 4.5-5.5) White Blood cell count is 17.9(range 4.0-10.0) Esosinophils 0.3 (range 1-6) Lymphocytes 18.7 (range 20-40). Can you please advise me whether a patient of his age be disgnosed of MUMPS . He had got his vaccination of MMR done when he was born. Please advise.
hello,
from the results that you have written above shows more of a bacterial picture compared to viral picture as mumps is a viral infection,
a person can get mumps despite being vaccinated in childhood only that the disease strength is weaker then those people who havent been vaccinated in childhold
from my view i dont think your son has mumps, and mumps is more of a clinical diagnosis then a lab diagnosis.
hope have answered your query
