Red Flakes And Mucus In Stool, Appetite Loss, Nausea. Taken Azithromycin For Cough. What Is Wrong?
I am a 19 year young guy I have been pooping red/orange flakes and sometimes when i wipe ill get some mucus. I also have bin experiencing loss of appetite and sometimes when i eat ill get nauseous. This all started like 3 or 4 weeks ago after i took some antibiotics(azithromycin 250 mg) because i had a verry bad cough. it started of with diarrhea right after the antibiotics. Whats wrong with me? please help. :(
Hi, as you describe it appears that you have the side effect of the azithromycin, and had secondary infection, which is continuing. if you stop the medicine at that time and used the drugs to controle the infection, you would have been comfertable then it self. I to my patient with such infection, prescribe ofloxacin, ornidazole, ranitidine, and injection amikacin for 5 days. Thank you.
