Redness, Itching In Toes. Used Ointment For Athlete's Foot Without Relief. Any Ideas?

Good evening, I traveled to the Bahamas and Florida by plane in early June. When we got home in mid June, I noticed what I thought was poison ivy ringing one of my toes. It seemed to heal and then moved to another spot on the bottom of my foot . It is a red curvy line that is very itchy. I have used ointment and spray for athlete s foot that does not work. The line seems to travel after a few days but never goes away. Any ideas? I plan to see my doctor this week if I cannot figure this out.
