Ringing In The Ear After Being Slapped On The Face. Hearing Test Normal. Chances Of Tinnitus?

Hi I got slap in the face by my ear and now in the night especially I hear a sound like a rining. I went to my ent doctor and I took the hearing test by an audiologist and the test came back good my hearing is good . The doctor gave me a spray for my nose maybe I have allergy when I spray my nose the sound rining is very low I want to know if I have titanitus? During the day I don t hear the sound please let me know if I have titanitus and ifit will go away

Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.

I have gone through your query regarding ringing sound n your ear in niht hours, his happens in the ear which was exposed to trauma by slapping. You are been examined by an ENT doctor and getting treatment .

here I would like to tell you that such type of unanted sounds are labelled as TINNITUS. There are so many causes of this tinnitus and traumatic swelling and congestion of ear drum also one of them. You are having tinnitus due to slap this will be cured in 8 to 10 days and during this period you have to do-

(a) Keep your ear clean and dry.

(b) Don't put any ear drop.

(c) Take steam inhalation.
