Risks Of Bone Biopsy While Suffering From Cancer?

I have had stage IIIC breast cancer, misdiagnosed, pancreatic cancer, misdiagnosed, , complete whipple, and now they think I have bone cancer in L 2 and my shoulder. I have had pet scan, bone scan, everything. If I get the bone biopsy, what are the risks, and is it dangerous. I am scared my body won t be able to handle more treatments. Fred Hutch is amazing though. Just scared. Thank You.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case with diligence.

There is no risk in doing biopsy.

As per your history and reports there is possibility of recurrence of tumour or there can be possibility of metastasis.
As your blood reports are normal I will advise you to do PET scan to look for any lesion in initial stage.
Till time drink more water and improve immunity by taking healthy food.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
