Hi
please do not use massage therapy unless advised.in ur case a bulge seen in the lumbosacral region is the cause, cud b spondylolisthesis or any disease of spine.u need to get treated by a ortho surgeon specialised in spinal cord problems.a massage may sometimes aggravate the problem
thnx
Do not worry too much about the disc bulge , If we pick and scan 100 people from a street trust me 85-90 would be having a bulge. The symptom you have should be co-related with your degree of bulge. If the pain is confined to your back, do not worry go visit a Physiotherapist he/she will treat you with few modalities and teach you with exercises for prevention (this is the important part so you dont relapse with back pain). There proven research that 80-90% of back pain is mechanical in nature and mostly to do with your lifestyle.
Hello Suresh,
A good way to approach your disc bulge should be a combination of Yoga therapy, Acupuncture or Acupressure.
Massage therapy can relieve when done professionally by a qualified therapist, otherwise can increase your problem.
Even though it is quite a common problem, you need to address it with a regular exercise regimen based on advices by a Orthopedic or Physiotherapist or any Qualified Doctor to prevent any further complications.
