Sharp Pain Below Belly Button, Recurring, Pain From Various Positions. Stomach Flu?
Hi, i'm 46 years old have had a sharp pain on and off since this past Sunday. my pain is about 1 inch below my belly button right in the middle. when i do get these sharp pains from various positions, i feel i have to do #2 but the the pain takes over and i cant go. sharp pain only last seconds, so i lay down in my bed,pain goes away until I need to use Restroom. I only go a lil bit, not normal than usual. I pee fine, no pain around Penis. whats going on with me? i have not seen a Dr because I thought I had a stomach flu or something.

This type of sharp pain is called colicky pain.It usually occurs due to intestinal infection,indigestion and even after over eating.pain in right side lower abdomen indicates appendicitis. Go for certain investigations like cbc,urine,stool and USG abdome to rule out diagnosis. Take nsaid with dicyclomin to subside pain. Start proper antibiotic under guidance of your physician. Take simple,more liquid diet,avoid oily,spicy,junk food,drink more water and fruit juices,vegetable soups,buttermilk.
