Sharp Pain In Collarbone While Working Out. Muscle Pull Or Ligament Damage?

I was working my chest and squeezing at the very top, when I felt a sharp pain in my upper pec/collarbone area. I was able to finish my workout, however, now I feel a little discomfort in that area. I have full mobility of my arms with no pain, but when I was trying to do shoulders several days later, I could not do lateral front raises. Did I jut pull a muscle or do you think I damaged a ligament . I have iced it a little and have only been doing cardio, which is killing me.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,

It seems that you had a muscle pull at your upper pectoral and collar bone area.

You should give proper rest to the area. Do not lift heavy weights from that side.

Pain killers like ibuprofen after meals along with antacid along with muscle relaxant for 5-7 days will provide some relief.
Take medicines under medical supervision only. Hot fomentation and application of local pain relieving gel will be helpful.

Physiotherapy is very beneficial in such cases.

If the problem persists, get yourself examined by an Orthopedician.

I hope this information has been both informative and helpful
Regards
