Sharp Pain On The Left Side Of Chest, Tingling Down The Left Leg, Shaky. What To Do ?

Hi. two days ago I was just laying in bed not doing anything but watch a movie and I experienced a sharp pain on the left side of my chest lasting about a minute. Followed by a tingly numb feeling down my left leg then up to my face and my jaw muscles tightened up and my first thought was that I was having a stroke and tried to fight it. Now my left arm aches, left armpit and left leg sometimes aches and I feel kind of shaky. Im only 24 yrs old and am petrified. And I have no insurance. what do I do?

Hello,
The first thing you must do is to get a Cardiogram. No age is barred from the risk of a myocardial ischemia which is commonly referred to as a heart attack. It would be worthwhile also to get a cardiac marker test done. Other things that could cause a pain of a similar nature, could be a muscular spasm, a post herpetic neuralgia or hyperacidity. I would suggest you go see a physician and get yourself evaluated.
Wish you luck.

Hi Lhsbballstar24,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
Your symptoms are quite alarming and indicate some cause in the brain.
It can be due to a cerebrovascular accident, a seizure or due to some other rarer pathology like arteriovenous malformation, tumor, abscess etc.
it needs costly investigations but cheapest way to handle this is to consult a local neurologist and get a neurological physical examination.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
