Should I Be Concerned About Red And Painless Bruise Mark On Scapula?

After I showered today I noticed a red bruise mark on my scapula approx. 4 x3 . There is no pain associated with it but it is quite bright in color. I have malignant melanoma so I frequently look for changes. I do have an appointment next week, but am very concerned, should I be? -Annette
