Should I Be Concerned About Red Spotting On Bruise Due To IV?

I had surgery last week on Monday. When the nurse was trying to put in an I've she went all the way through the vein leaving a nasty bruise. today I noticed a red Spot on the edge of the bruise and streak coming from the bruise do I need to be concerned about this?

Hi

You simply seem to have developed a bruise which is quite common in areas of iv insertion.
There bruises tend to heal by themselves in five to seven days.
Just make sure you do not injure the area any further
You can take oral vitamin c tablets along which will help in faster clearance of the hematoma.
These lesions are quite common and can occur even in normal individuals, so Do not worry.
