Should I Be Concerned About The Swollen, Numb And Dark Blue Thumb Following An Injury?

I injured my thumb playing football today. I thought it was a jam, but within an hour, it was very swollen at both joints and the tip. It is already turning dark blue/black and is numb and cold feeling. Does this sound like anything worth getting checked out??

Hi. As your thumb is swollen, numb, changing colour it seems to be ligament injury. so x ray thumb is necessary. consult your doctor as early as possible.. Till restrict activity of thumb. take care.
