Should I Be Worried About A Sharp Bump On The Forehead Of My Child After Being Hit?

My 15 month son hit his forehead on the sharp edge of the kitchen cabinet as he is learning how to walk he landed on there and hit hard. He has a bump that is swollen about a little bigger than a quarter size. He is awake and didn't lose consciousness.

Hi

After any head injury, if there is no loss of consciousness/ forceful vomiting/ bleeding from nose or ears, there is nothing much to worry.

You may give him Paracetamol for the pain.

You may give cold compresses on the site of injury.

It takes atleast a week for the swelling to slowly reduce in size.

Hope this answers your query.
Best wishes.
