Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your mothers history.
As rabies is a 100% fatal disease your concern towards your mothers condition is very good.Even though it is 100% fatal it is 100% preventable. As you are telling that it was a pet dog bite which is immunized till date.
As Your doctor has given inj TT and Antirabies vaccine. You need to give full course of Anti rabies vaccine on day 0,3,7,14 and 28 days.
But if it would have been the stray dog bite, your mother has bleeding from that site (Cat III), I would have advised you to give single dose of rabies immunoglobulin to your mother around the wound.
Observe the dog for 10 days.
If you have any queries please feel free to ask.
Thank you.
