Should A Deep Muscle Bruise Still Be Painful To Touch Even After 1 Week 4 Days Past Injury?

car accident 1 week and 4 days ago. Air bag hist front shin area and caused cut and pain on front/side of calf. ER said it is a deep muscle bruise. My question is should it still be very painful to touch? Bruising discolartion is almost gone, walking is now ok but painful to the touch.
