Should I Be Concerned About The Blood In My Urine During Pregnancy?
Im 34 weeks and 5 days pregnant, have gestational diabetes controlled with insulin injections 4x daily. I have had +++ blood in my urine with no cause found for a good few weeks but today when visiting the toilet i have had visable blood on the toilet tissue and my urine appears red tinged. Should i be concerned?
I evaluated your whole query thoroughly. Pregnancy with diabetes presenting as hematuria (blood in urine) is not normal, it is alarming sign of underlying pathology which may be heavy urinary infection, cystitis, calculus in urinary tract, renal involvement from diabetes, dehydration, systemic due to some drug induced, associated with vaginal infections, and others.
You should increase your water and liquids intake; take an appointment at priority basis with your gynecologist for final diagnosis and further management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
